Seats.aero vs MilesZone

Is Seats.aero worth it?

seats.aero Pro is worth it if you book awards often and want the widest net: 26 programmes, a year of dates, continuous alerts with SMS, live search, an MCP server and an API, for $99.99 a year on the web. For one trip a year, the free tier may be enough: no account, a window its help centre puts at up to 30 days, and up to 5 one-off alerts.

Where it is weaker: its footer says the data is periodically refreshed and might not be up to date, and live search is a separate Pro tool. Pay for it when breadth matters most to you.

If you also weigh the cash side, MilesZone shows each programme's miles and cash fees for the same flight side by side, free for departures in the next 60 days; Pro adds route alerts that re-check the seat before they email and 12 months of dates. Search a route to compare.

Where MilesZone differs from Seats.aero

This comparison keeps to four differences, each one read off seats.aero's help centre, footer or developer docs on October 7, 2026.

Alerts that re-check the seat before they email you

seats.aero's footer says its data "is periodically refreshed and might not be up to date"; live search is a separate Pro tool.

Before a MilesZone alert reaches your inbox, it asks the programme whether that JFK to Paris seat is still for sale. A seat that has gone produces no email, which matters before you transfer points.

60 days of free search, the whole calendar

seats.aero's free award search needs no account. Its help centre puts the free window at up to 30 days, its homepage at two months, and a full year of dates is Pro.

MilesZone shows the next 60 days of a route in one calendar, free with an account, with no daily search cap. MilesZone Pro opens departures up to 12 months out.

Miles and the cash fees side by side

Two 60,000-mile seats differ if one carries $90 in taxes and the other $700 in surcharges. seats.aero has this data for most programmes; its developer docs list Qatar, Turkish and Singapore KrisFlyer without it.

MilesZone puts the cash in the same row as the miles. On New York to Paris, below, Atmos Rewards, Flying Blue and LifeMiles each price the trip, so you see which costs less in total. British Airways Club is the exception: its cash is not read yet.

Alerts that keep running

On seats.aero, an alert is one-off by default: it fires once and stops. Continuous alerts are a Pro feature.

A MilesZone alert keeps running after it emails. It sends at most four emails a day, and brings the same date back only when it gets cheaper or a week has passed. Pro holds up to 25 of them on either plan.

Seats.aero free vs paid: plans and prices

Free
No account; up to 30 days (help centre)
Paid
$9.99/mo or $99.99/yr
Alerts
5 free, one-off by default

seats.aero Pro costs $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year on the web, per its pricing code on October 7, 2026; iOS can cost more. Pro unlocks a year of dates, live search, continuous alerts with SMS and advanced filters.

Where seats.aero searches without an account, MilesZone award search asks for one and stays free for departures in the next 60 days, no card. Pro is $17 a month or $127 a year, the same Pro either way, opening with a 7-day free trial: 25 route alerts, a 12-month calendar and the seat re-check before a transfer.

Seats.aero promo code and discounts

We found no promo code on seats.aero's own site or help centre on October 12, 2026. Its web prices that day were $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year, so the yearly plan is the discount seats.aero offers itself: about 17% under twelve monthly payments. The iOS in-app price can be higher, so the web is the cheaper place to subscribe.

Points blogs publish partner codes for a first year from time to time. They are set by those publishers and expire, so we do not list them; if you try one, check the price at checkout before you pay.

MilesZone needs no code: award search is free for departures in the next 60 days, and Pro, at $17 a month or $127 a year, starts with a 7-day free trial.
