Roame vs MilesZone: alerts, free search and plans compared

Checked on October 7, 2026 on Roame's own pages by the MilesZone team. Sources

If you are looking for a Roame alternative, this page decides one thing: which award search tool watches your trips more closely and shows more dates before you pay. Roame vs MilesZone comes down to live search against alerts and a long calendar. Roame searches live and maps whole regions; MilesZone gives you 25 route alerts on either plan, re-checks each seat before an alert emails, and lays out the next 60 days of a route at once.

Roame vs MilesZone

Is Roame worth it?

Roame is worth it if you plan around flexible dates: SkyView lays a calendar out, paid plans search 25 programmes up to 365 days out and add SMS alerts in the US and Canada. Friends of Roame, $109.99 a year, covers most individual travellers; Inner Circle, $299.99 a year, mainly adds more Super Alerts and larger hotel rebate credits.

The free plan is a taster: a 4-day flexible live search and SkyView Lite on flights within 60 days, with no Super Alerts. Every plan is for non-commercial use.

MilesZone shows each programme's miles and cash fees for the same flight side by side, free for departures in the next 60 days; Pro holds 25 route alerts that re-check the seat, with 12 months of dates, on one tier. Search a route to compare.

Where MilesZone differs from Roame

This comparison picks four differences, from Super Alerts to the free 4-day search, and checks each against Roame's subscription page and help centre on October 7, 2026.

25 alerts, not 5

Roame's Super Alerts are multi-region and stay on until you turn them off. They are counted by plan: Friends of Roame gives 5 on monthly and 10 on annual. More takes Inner Circle, at $79.99 a month or $299.99 a year.

MilesZone Pro holds up to 25 alerts, the same number on monthly and yearly. Each one covers a route over a whole date window, with the most miles and cash you will pay.

60 days of dates, free search

Roame's free plan offers a 4-day flexible live search and SkyView Lite, a 7-day window on flights departing within 60 days. To see two months of one route, you page through it a few days at a time.

MilesZone shows the next 60 days of a route in one calendar, free with an account, with no daily cap. On a Star Alliance route that means LifeMiles and Thai Royal Orchid Plus priced for the same dates, miles and cash fees side by side.

Alerts re-checked against the programme

Roame's help centre tells you to check the "last seen" indicator when a result does not show on the airline's site, and to confirm the seat there.

On a Bangkok to Frankfurt alert, MilesZone goes back to LifeMiles or Thai about the seat it found just before the email, and drops the email if the seat has gone. That matters before you transfer points, which cannot be undone.

A free trial

Roame's pricing page offers a free plan and two paid ones. We did not see a trial of the paid plans there on October 7, 2026, so the full Super Alerts and 365-day search come after you pay.

MilesZone Pro lets Roame users try 25 alerts, 12 months of dates and the seat re-check for 7 days on their own trips. Cancel before the trial ends and you are never charged.

Roame free vs paid: plans and prices

Free
4-day live search, SkyView Lite
Paid
$12.99/mo or $109.99/yr
Alerts
5 or 10 on Friends; paid plans

Roame pricing on October 7, 2026: Friends of Roame costs $12.99 a month or $109.99 a year, Inner Circle $79.99 a month or $299.99 a year. Roame free keeps a 4-day flexible live search and SkyView Lite. Every plan is for non-commercial use.

Where Roame free stops at a 4-day award search, MilesZone is free for departures in the next 60 days with an account, no card. Pro, $17 a month or $127 a year, has no second tier: either cadence carries 25 route alerts, a 12-month calendar and the seat re-check, after a 7-day free trial.

Roame promo code and discounts

Roame's subscription page shows no promo code (checked October 12, 2026), but its yearly prices are discounted against twelve monthly payments: Friends of Roame $109.99 a year against $155.88, about 30% off, and Inner Circle $299.99 against $959.88, about 69% off.

Partner codes for Roame circulate on points blogs. They are set by those publishers and expire, so we do not list them; check the price at checkout before you pay.

MilesZone needs no code: award search is free for departures in the next 60 days, and Pro, at $17 a month or $127 a year, has one tier and starts with a 7-day free trial.
