- Since 30 October 2024 every Virgin Atlantic seat can be booked with Virgin Points, at prices that move with demand. Saver seats start at 6,000 points one way to New York.
- Since April 2026 the taxes and fees on a reward are the same however many points it costs: £720 on an Upper Class seat from London Heathrow to New York.
- Departures from the UK cost more cash because of Air Passenger Duty.
