RevPoints to Avios: Find a British Airways Reward Flight

You can convert RevPoints to Avios in a British Airways Club account at the published 1:1 rate. Find a reward seat for your dates and check the Avios plus cash first: the transfer is irreversible, and neither a points balance nor an example flight in Revolut reserves a seat.

What do you get when you convert RevPoints to Avios?

At the rate published by British Airways for Revolut transfers, 10,000 RevPoints become 10,000 Avios in your British Airways Club account. The published per-transfer limits are 1 to 999,999 points. Check the rate displayed in Revolut before confirming; a temporary offer can have its own eligibility rules.

That conversion buys a balance, not a ticket. A British Airways reward flight needs an available seat, enough Avios and the cash payment shown by BA. This guide follows the British Airways Club route; it does not treat every airline using Avios as the same booking programme.

For Air France or KLM, compare transferring Revolut points to Flying Blue against the BA itinerary before moving points. The same conversion rate can lead to a different Miles price and cash payment.

How do you find a British Airways reward seat first?

Search your route as a reward booking, for the actual dates, cabin and number of travellers. A normal cash fare is a different quote. BA's Reward Flights page distinguishes a Reward Flight from using Avios to reduce a cash fare. Check which option you selected before comparing prices.

Use MilesZone to narrow down routes and dates, then repeat the search on BA before moving points. Check both directions separately, the operating airline, connections and the total cash charge. For the full verification method, see checking an award seat before transferring points.

How many RevPoints could a business-class flight need?

At a 1:1 transfer rate, a traveller with no existing Avios needs the same number of RevPoints as the quoted Avios price. Our business-class award price study gives concrete comparisons below, read from September 25, 2026 to October 5, 2026. These are historical observations, not seats available to book today.

Typical means the median of each departure date's cheapest observed business-class seat on that route. Dates with no seat do not enter the price median. The dates-with-a-seat column shows why a plausible points budget is not enough to promise a flight.

The BA observations in this edition did not include usable cash charges. A blank cash field never means a zero-cost ticket: get the total from BA before transferring. More route comparisons are in how many Avios for business class.

How do you transfer Revolut points to Avios?

Link your own British Airways Club account inside Revolut, then transfer only after checking the reward booking. Revolut's account-linking instructions require the loyalty account to be in your name and its name to match your Revolut account. Available programmes vary by country, so check that British Airways is listed for your account.

  1. Sign in to British Airways Club, check your existing Avios and find the reward itinerary you want for every traveller.
  2. Opt in to RevPoints in Revolut if needed, open Airline Miles and select British Airways. App labels may change.
  3. Enter your own British Airways Club membership number and check the linked account details.
  4. Review the current conversion rate and the points needed to cover your Avios shortfall, then confirm the transfer.
  5. Wait until the Avios appear in BA, refresh the reward search and complete the airline booking if the seat and total price still work for you.

Check names and the membership number before confirming, especially if your names include multiple surnames. A transfer confirmation is not a flight booking confirmation; keep it until the Avios have arrived and the airline has issued your ticket.

Seat checks before a points transfer

What if the transfer is delayed or the seat disappears?

A transfer can arrive after the seat has gone. Revolut's airline transfer guidance says miles usually arrive within minutes, although some partners can take up to two working days. Transfers are final: the points cannot be returned to RevPoints or converted back to cash.

Decide on an acceptable backup date or destination before you transfer. If the reward disappears, search BA again using the Avios already credited, or keep the balance for a later booking. Do not send more points just because the original plan failed. For a missing transfer, keep its reference and follow the support instructions shown in your app.

For two travellers, confirm two reward seats on the same flight. One available seat and enough combined points do not establish that both people can book. If travelling together is essential, resolve the seat count before committing either balance.

How do you tell whether the reward flight is worth it?

Compare the cash fare you would actually buy with the reward's cash charge, then divide the difference by the Avios required. Use the same dates, cabin, baggage and flexibility. A higher headline cash fare is not a saving if you would never have paid it.

For illustration, a £500 cash ticket versus 30,000 Avios plus £100 would save £400 in exchange for 30,000 Avios: about 1.33p per Avios. At 1:1, that is also about 1.33p per RevPoint used. Those are invented inputs to show the calculation, not a current fare or a guaranteed points valuation.

Make the decision using the final BA quote, including the payment option you chose. A lower Avios amount can come with a higher cash payment. Add positioning flights or an extra hotel night if you need them to reach a cheaper departure airport.

What should you do if there is no suitable seat yet?

Leave the points in Revolut while you keep looking, and check nearby dates before settling on a transfer destination. A points conversion does not create reward inventory. If the available BA ticket costs too much in cash, a different date or destination may be more useful than a larger Avios balance.

MilesZone can help you explore dates and set a Pro alert for the route. Its results are observations, not reservations, and collection intervals vary. Read how fresh award availability is and check the airline again before transferring. An alert helps you return to a search; it cannot hold a seat or guarantee it remains bookable.

Search award seats for your departure airport and dates, then focus on British Airways Club results. Keep the points where they are until the airline quote, passenger count and cash payment fit the trip you want.
